Established in the 1800s, The Sagamore Resort on Lake George is a landmark hotel secluded on a private 70-acre island just 60 miles north of Albany, New York. The Sagamore has hosted families, celebrities and dignitaries alike with their signature hospitality established over a century ago by Myron O. Brown. Along with an inspiring setting in the heart of the Adirondacks, this historic enclave offers elegant lakeside accommodations, award-winning dining and golf, and a commitment to creating remarkable guest experiences every day.
Located at the center of the Lake George resort, The Rec Center is an expansive indoor entertainment and sports facility with activities for guests of all ages — positioning The Sagamore Resort as the ideal location for family friendly vacations in the Adirondacks. The Rec is 10,000 square feet of fun for all during your vacation to the Lake George resort.
The Morgan is a replica of a 19th-century touring vessel, offering guests a Lake George boat tour that makes for an unforgettable experience on the water. Take in some of the most scenic views the Adirondacks have to offer, as you sail in style across the lake’s clear waters and into the narrows aboard this impressive 72-foot vessel. Cruises are approximately 1.5 hours long and are included in the resort fee. Food and beverage service is available on board.
The Morgan is also available to book for corporate and social events, offering a private Lake George boating tour experience. A distinctive backdrop for executive retreats, family reunions, and romantic Lake George weddings, The Morgan can accommodate up to 75 guests for a one-of-a-kind event.
There’s a world of Lake George watersports and activities to explore during your stay at The Sagamore Resort. The resort Concierge is happy to arrange a perfect day of Lake George watersports, whether you are interested in fishing for the afternoon, or even learning how to waterski.
The Sagamore Resort features both indoor and outdoor heated waterfront pools with breathtaking views of Lake George. Spanning 10,000 square feet, the outdoor terraced pool deck sits next to an impressive 95,000-gallon heated swimming pool, and features 250 chaise lounges as well as a separate warming pool. Plus, the 33,000-gallon indoor pool with an open-air concept also overlooks the lake. Relax in the hot tub or read a book in the lounge area regardless of the weather outside … the pools provide a wonderful water reprieve!
The Sagamore’s glass-enclosed fitness center has everything you need for a great workout. State-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength training equipment are complemented by a full selection of free weights and group fitness classes. Available 24- hours a day to all guests ages 16 and over.
If you prefer the fresh air, try hiking the Adirondacks on a private tour with one of the resort’s expert guides (offered April through October only, based on availability).
Honored by Golf Magazine as one of its Silver Medal Resorts, the 18-hole Sagamore Golf Course commands stunning views of Lake George and was designed and built under Donald Ross’s personal supervision in 1928. In classic Ross fashion, The Sagamore Golf Course uses the natural environment to give each hole its challenge and beauty. Lush fairways are narrow and lined with hardwoods, while deep bunkers surround undulating greens.
The Sagamore’s par 70, championship course is located on the mainland and features a practice range, professional instruction and an award-winning Pro Shop. Shuttle service is provided between the golf course and the resort.

Choose to dine among the club-style ambiance of the dining room, or overlooking the beautiful Adirondack Mountains from our covered patio. The Club Grill Steakhouse is located at The Sagamore Golf Course on the mainland and is operated seasonally. Shuttle service is available between the restaurant and the resort.

Brown, the first General Manager of The Sagamore Resort, Mr. Brown’s Pub is a Lake George bar that reflects the great Adirondack camps of yesteryear, with its lush dark woods and antler chandeliers. Unwind with your favorite drink and delicious selections from the casual pub-style menu, including favorites like fish and chips, the Pub’s famous chili, and signature salads – along with a few decadent desserts. When the sun goes down, Mr. Brown’s transforms into a lively nightspot where guests can mingle and enjoy evening entertainment.
Nestled on the shores of Lake George, The LakeHouse offers a front row seat to the majestic beauty of the Adirondacks. This enchanting open-air restaurant boasts an elegant wrap-around deck, shaded under the canopy of a giant oak Its enticing menu offers light lunch fare, handcrafted cocktails, frozen libations, and wines by the glass. Guests traveling with small children will also appreciate the Little Sailors Menu.
