Finisterra means “end of the earth,” reflecting Martinhal’s location at the south-westernmost tip of Europe. Situated in its own secluded grounds at the center of the resort, this oasis of calm with 6 private treatment rooms is a place where the art of relaxation is taken seriously.

The spa offers a wide range of treatments for all ages — from babies up to grandparents — just ask for a list of treatments and choose one especially suited to you!

From baby massages and children’s manicures, to teenage facials, mummy body wraps and daddy massages, to grandparents’ relaxing foot massages — the spa has a little something for guests of all ages!

The resort features 2 tournament-standard tennis courts and 2 glass-sided paddle tennis courts — all located in Club 98. The onsite Leisure Team will be happy to play with you or find you a tennis partner!

When it comes to pools, there’s no shortage at Martinhal Sagres, with 5 swimming pools located throughout the resort.

Pool Hangout: The Pool Hangout is located just above the beach and is sunk into a stylish wooden terrace. It overlooks the Beach Club Garden and is served by its own bar.

Village Pool: Two swimming pools grace the Village Square and are perfect for families. One generously sized pool spans indoors and outdoors. Adjacent is another smaller pool designed for toddlers. A juice and snack bar offers poolside service.

Oasis Pool: Youngsters in particular are drawn to the Oasis Pool, an imaginatively designed, beach entry, free-form swimming pool that forms the centerpiece of the Garden Houses area.

Club 98: Another generously sized pool forms part of Club 98, Martinhal’s tennis and sports center, and is popular among teenaged guests. Club 98 also includes a smaller sized pool ideal for toddlers.

Vilas Mimosa: Martinhal’s fifth pool area is located at the entrance of the resort. The 18m pool and adjacent baby pool are open during the summer months for the exclusive use of the Vilas Mimosa guests.

The Water Sports Centre is located on Martinhal Beach. Here, guests can rent equipment for windsurfing, snorkeling and many other fun water-based sports.

Bike Station

Martinhal has all the elements for a great biking holiday. There are plenty of trails in the surrounding Natural Park for mountain biking, trekking and road biking.

Martinhal Bike Station, powered by Algarve-Cycling-Holidays, offers high-quality bikes for rental, so guests can discover the trails and the stunning Martinhal surroundings at their own pace.

Pump Track

Pump Track is a great place for the whole family to enjoy! It makes bike riding easy and accessible, so you can have fun while improving your riding skills. Rent your bikes at the bike station or join one of the classes available to guests. And who knows – you might even make some new friends along the way!

For keep-fit enthusiasts, a well-equipped gymnasium is housed above the Village Square.

Kids’ Club

Martinhal Sagres has five Kids’ Clubs throughout the resort, each designed for different ages ranging from 6 months to 17 years.

Academies

Martinhal offers four sports academies: football, tennis, paddle tennis and swimming. The sports are organized by age-group to encourage participation. Here, kids can polish their technique or learn new activities Further to active exercise, these academies also promote children’s learning and involvement.

Baby Concierge

Hassle-free travelling with babies and small children can at times be a challenge to achieve – but the resort team embraces this as a special opportunity to assist. In addition to the Kids Clubhouse and onsite baby-sitting facilities, the resort also offers guests the opportunity to pre-book baby equipment – from small items such as door protectors, potties, bottle sterilizers and warmers, to bigger items like safety gates, baby cots and baby baths.

The Blue Room is a unique activity area, boldly designed in a futuristic look, where families can have fun with the latest console games and PlayStation, or discover more traditional games such as table football, snooker, table tennis and air hockey.

The Blast Room, located at the Village Square, offers a variety of table games, Juke Box and Play Station, plus magazines and movies for guests’ enjoyment.
